Rennick founded Stratos in 2016. As the Founding Partner, Rennick is responsible for investment decisions, transaction execution, and board involvement. Before founding Stratos, Rennick held the position of Research Associate at Sanders Capital, a $40 billion global equity manager founded by Lewis Sanders, formerly Chairman & CEO of AllianceBernstein L.P. and Chairman and CEO of Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc. Rennick was one of ten investment professionals at the firm and reported directly to Lew.
Rennick credits the evolution of his investment philosophy and process to the influence of Lew and the team at Sanders, which embody a heritage of best in class research established at Bernstein Research. Rennick holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from Southern Methodist University, and a Masters in Quantitative Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Rennick is a founding team member, investor, and advisor to The Goldfinch Protocol, a decentralized finance project backed by the best founders and investors in the fintech and DeFi ecosystem.
Chad brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of fund operations and finance, including accounting, taxation, compliance, legal, treasury, investor relations, business management, and strategic planning.
Before joining Stratos, Chad most recently served for 4 years as Senior Controller at Diameter Capital Partners LP, a New York-based alternative asset manager focused on global credit markets which saw its AUM grow from under $2 billion to approximately $10 billion during his tenure. Prior to Diameter, he spent close to a decade as CFO for Wilson Capital Management LLC, a New York-based boutique registered investment adviser to long/short equity hedge funds focused on bottom-up fundamental research until its founder retired in 2017 after a 50-year career on Wall Street.
Chad started his career in public accounting, having spent 10+ years providing audit, tax, and advisory services to a wide variety of industries before focusing on the fund space as a Manager in the Alternative Investment Group at Marcum LLP, a top-15 CPA firm. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in New York State since 1999.
Miles leads operations and compliance as well as oversees capital formation across Stratos. Prior to joining Stratos, Miles served as Portfolio Manager and Director of Equity Research at Brookmont Capital, a top performing US equity manager with nearly $1 billion AUM.
While at Brookmont, the investment portfolio Miles managed was top decile in its Morningstar Category out of over 50 comparable strategies since its inception in 2015. In addition to portfolio management, Miles recruited, trained and managed the firm's research analyst team covering every sector of the US equity market. Miles was instrumental in building the organization at Brookmont, leading to AUM more than doubling during his tenure. Miles received a BS in Economics and Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Daniel began his career as a designer focused on marketing, branding, and product design. He's worked with many of the world's most prestigious brands including Apple, Square, Nike, Disney, and Target. He served as Square's Head of Design for 6 years and scaled their design team from 3 to 40+.
In early 2019, he took over as the Chief Executive Officer for the productivity software Flow to turn the company around. Over the subsequent 2 years, he reimagined the business and product to bring the company back to profitability and organic growth after it spent years contracting in revenue and growth 5-8% MoM.
Daniel has served as an advisor to many of the best venture capital firms in the world including Notation Capital, Avenir Growth, Foundation Capital, and Designer Fund. Daniel has personally invested in more than 150 companies including early Seed bets on Notion, Public, Superhuman, Filecoin, and GoodEggs — all now valued at well over $1B.
At Stratos, Daniel works across our venture funds to make investments and provide hands-on help with everything design related to our portfolio companies.
As the CTO of Staking & Infrastructure, Dustin leads and oversees all engineering work across staking, node, and infrastructure business. Dustin's work enables Stratos to add enormous value to our family of portfolio companies to help launch and scale their own technical infrastructure. Prior to joining Stratos, Dustin held engineering leadership positions at Bonobos, Zappos, Floored, CBRE Build, and BellRock Brands.
Eli assists with our DeFi and Web3 practice, supporting our investment research process, sourcing opportunities and generating content. Prior to joining Stratos, Eli was a Research Assistant at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, where he focused on particle physics research. Eli holds a degree in Physics from Pacific Union Collage and a Masters in Technology Systems from Western Governors University.
Amanda assists with our fundraising activities, human relations, and public relations as well as manages the firm’s strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Stratos, Amanda was an Analyst at JP Morgan in the Private Bank. Amanda holds a degree from the University of Tampa.
As Chief of Staff, Kyra overseas various aspects of managing the logistics within Stratos. Prior to joining Stratos in August 2021, Kyra worked for an ultra-high net worth family in Dallas, TX. Kyra holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
As a Data Scientist, Kitae assists with our investment sourcing and research processes in addition to generating data-driven content. Prior to joining Stratos, Kitae was a Data Analyst at Iowa Baseball and a Research Assistant at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, where he focused on particle physics research. Kitae holds a degree in Physics and Mathematics from Pacific Union College and a Masters in Statistics from University of Iowa.
